Why I Built this Project
I wanted to start my seeds indoors this year, but needed a place to set it all up. I ordered these seed trays and these 2′ lights. Once everything came in the mail, I got to work! Using just one 2×4, this was a quick and easy project. I love that the lights came with all of the hardware to hang them, so no extra trips to the hardware store. I really like this simple design because it’s perfect for tabletop or bookshelves to create the perfect seed starter situation! Also it’s easy to modify for different size trays and lights.

How I Built this Project
Start by cutting your 2×4 according to the cut list.
Start by attaching the bottom pieces to the uprights. I blocked it up and marked the center of each board. I also traced a line so I knew where to place the screws.
Once the two legs are built, attach the top.
For the light installation, predrill holes smaller that the hook size and screw the hooks in.
Hang the light and start growing!
