It’s interesting to reflect on some things that we thought would be a major win but ended up being a “meh” moment, while things we thought would be “meh” moments actually end up being very impactful. Installing lights under the lean-to was a huge deal for us. We moved to the property on December 1st, and three and a half months later, we have the start of our outdoor lights.

I’m not sure what other lights we will install outside, but going forward, we will install them on an as-needed basis. Regardless, everything needs to have the ability to turn off on demand. I love stargazing and this property is fantastic for it. When the sky is clear and the moon is gone, the sky turns into a blanket of sparkly jewels. I love it. And when the moon is out, you don’t even need a flashlight!

Don’t forget to invite random, unsolicited fun to your life! I’m trying to make it a point to say YES to play more often during work time. Of course, it’s impossible to say yes every time to playing when you’re trying to get something done. But if at all possible, play when you can. I don’t know where the quote comes from, or the exact words, but I love the saying “You only get old when you stop playing.”
