The chainsaw chest is complete. I broke a lot of woodworking rules with the bottom and the lid. In this case, it works. That’s all it has to do. It just has to work. Cracks? Yeah, they will happen (already have). That’s not going to stop the chest from working as intended. Simplicity and strength were both accomplished with this build.

It’s fun to complete a project from the full circle of wood here on the property. Last October, I took this tree down, cut it into logs, milled the logs into lumber, and now have a completed project. That’s pretty darn cool.
