All of this footage was from December 14. I am so far behind on editing..
Our family grew by two! Part of our long term plan from last year was to get two large breed outside dogs for companionship and protection. Tyler Kay will finish growing up with them and witness the growth from a chaotic puppy to a loyal companion. She’s six, so she doesn’t quite understand the amount of work that goes into raising puppies. A crash course in waking up early to let the dogs out is exactly what she needs at this age. With that said, I introduce you to Nolley and Grace. 7 week old brother and sister Belgian Malinois.
It’s the middle of December, and we’re still not in a position where we can access our fake Christmas tree. We can’t not have a tree this year. On one of our walks, Jamie noticed a beautiful cedar that would be a great Christmas tree. Unfortunately for her, I don’t want to cut it down. It’s in too good of a location, filling the space nicely. I made the executive decision to venture off and find another tree worth getting. I found a tall cedar that was starving for sunlight. The lower half or so had very little green on it. I cut it down and will use the lower section for fence posts or similar around the property.
Maybe getting a Christmas tree off of our own property is a new family tradition. Maybe? If so, I think we need to start planting and grooming new Christmas trees that should be ready in about six years or so.
