Generally speaking, the busiest time of the year is the week before Thanksgiving to Christmas Day. It’s always busy. With this year’s adventure in full swing, I’m hitting a mental wall. Jamie and I were talking about this yesterday, and we both agreed that we have had to make more significant decisions and more decisions overall in 2024 than in any other year we can remember. These NO WORK days are essential for everyone to recharge slightly.

Between the holiday rush and moving into the new space, I’ve gotten behind on editing. I’m about two weeks behind in editing compared to real-time. I should be able to catch up soon. We’ve got several days of rain right after Christmas, so I’ll be glued to this computer to try and get the five videos in my Resolve timeline edited and published.

At the present time, we have electricity in the shop, our light package is on its way, our storage shipping container is EMPTY, and the shop is FULL. I made a HUGE error of judgment when moving one of the machines. I haven’t looked at the footage yet, but I think I got it on camera. We’re on to the busy, mundane work of organizing and trying to get everything sorted between woodshop items, household items we need now, and household items we can keep in storage until the house is built. I’m currently on the hunt for a forklift and pallet racking for the inside of the shop. If I can find one within budget that will work inside/ouside I’ll be delighted.

Nothing works unless you do!
